"My mural is meant to give thanks to all the healthcare workers who are fighting day and night for us. My bright color palette will be a sign of optimism for better days ahead and remind the Illinois Medical District, as well as everyone else who is fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic, that they are loved and appreciated."

 

Sergio Farfán blends the experiences from his hometown in Peru with the life he’s lived in Chicago to create works that focus on the struggles, dreams, and emotions that people go through in their life. Farfán’s creative process comes from utilizing a range of mediums and integrating stylistic techniques from realism to abstraction to create his pieces.
